Low Level Light Therapy

What is Low Level Light Therapy?

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also known as photobiomodulation, utilizes advanced technology to stimulate cellular activity and promote healing using low-level light. This innovative procedure addresses a range of medical issues, from pain management and wound healing to cosmetic dermatological treatments. LLLT can reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and speed up tissue repair. Medical-grade LLLT is a non-invasive and safe treatment that delivers the highest energy levels available, ensuring effective and powerful results. It also stimulates the meibomian glands, helping to secrete oils that keep your eyes moist.

Benefits of LLLT

Enhances meibomian gland function

Eliminates bacteria to treat blepharitis and acne

Decreases inflammation

Improves skin texture and reduces fine lines

RED LIGHT THERAPY

Renowned for skin rejuvenation, this wavelength penetrates the skin to stimulate cellular activity and boost collagen production. The results include improved skin texture, reduced fine lines, and enhanced skin tone.

BLUE LIGHT THERAPY

Renowned for targeting acne and skin blemishes, this wavelength penetrates the sebaceous (oil) glands, such as the meibomian glands in the eyelids. It effectively eliminates bacteria in these glands and treats conditions like blepharitis.

YELLOW LIGHT THERAPY

Renowned for enhancing blood circulation and the lymphatic system, this wavelength helps reduce redness, inflammation, fine lines, and wrinkles while promoting detoxification and overall healing.

INFRARED LIGHT THERAPY

Renowned for its deep tissue penetration, this wavelength promotes cellular repair and regeneration.

What To Expect During Treatment

The patient will sit with their eyes gently closed as a bright light surrounds their face for 15 minutes. This procedure may use a combination of red, blue, yellow, and infrared light, followed by meibomian gland expression.

Post-Procedure Care

Since LLLT is a safe and non-invasive in-office procedure, you can resume your daily activities, including wearing makeup, immediately after the treatment. For optimal results, we recommend 6 sessions spaced 3-7 days apart. Maintenance sessions can also be scheduled.
